Near Mackinder's hut we
came upon these marmot-like "rock hyrax".
They were very tame and seemed almost as lethargic as we were after a
day of hiking.
They are said to have many genetic qualities similar to those of
elephants,
but are now classified into their own order, "Hyracoidea". |
