We stayed at the
Gran Bahia Principe resort with our family for a wonderful week just before
Christmas, 2007.
Gran Bahia Principe is an "all-inclusive" luxury resort on Mexico's Yucatan
Peninsula, 20 km north of Tulum, and about 100 km south of Cancun.
While this is not my preferred type of holiday accommodation, it was nice for a
change to be able to just relax and enjoy the family.
I posted a daily GPS plot of our activities there, snorkeling at
Akumal, shopping in Playa del Carmen, and visits to the ruins of Tulum and Coba.
This is available HERE (30 Mb) as
a zipped group of 8 ".kmz" files which can be viewed in Google Earth.
